The Life of a Surface Pattern Design Student - Welcome to my Blog!

hello! My name is Gemma, a surface pattern design student and the artist behind Yeogem. Find out more about me here.

As a student, I love to experiment with different types of materials, processes and contexts. My favourite thing about art is the making process, the anticipation of lifting up the screen of a screen print to either a masterpiece or a fail or the accidental spill of ink across my desk which just happens to create a perfect abstract silhouette or a mess. I want to use this blog to record these trials and errors along with drawings, process, videos, mood boards, inspirations and everything else that is involved in the making of my work.
